Following a death in the family, we have acquired a bible with a bookplate that says it belonged to a J Rimmer, 1799, Ainsdale.

My husband has Rimmers in his family - but knows little about them. We assume that J Rimmer was connected in some way. Any information or help would be welcome.

I searched the A2 site today, and found there was a John Rimmer of Ainsdale, yeoman, who assigned land to Rev Richard Formby in 1789. I wonder if this is our chap?

Happy to share info re Rimmers that marry into my husband's Harrison family.
